- CLOSED -INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY - STRATEGIC LITIGATION

Lawyers for Human Rights is inviting applications from law students and graduates with an interest in human rights law and public interest litigation to apply for the volunteer internship programme in the Strategic Litigation Programme based in the Johannesburg Law Clinic. The Strategic Litigation Programme assist clients with impact litigation that reflects a broad public interest. LHR aims to advance human rights and provide high-quality legal services to those who cannot afford private legal representation. 

Please note that our internship programme is fully unpaid and is full-time. 

Requirements:

·         penultimate or final year law students

·         LLB graduates

·         available for a minimum of three months

Skills and attributes:

·         proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word and Excel)

·         legal research and writing skills

·         solid communication skills

·         adaptability and willingness to learn
